Do tattoos hurt?
Of course they do, but it is a tolerable pain.
>Are there limitations to what can be done?
Yes, because the “canvas” for the artwork is skin there are things that can be done on other surfaces that won’t work in the skin.
> How old do I have to be?
In Florida, you can get a tattoo at 16 years old if you have a parent or legal guardians permision. Otherwise you must be 18.
> How much will my tattoo cost?
That depends on a variety of factors–size, detail, placement on the body, amount of solid black vs color (solid black costs more), ect. Stop by our studio with your ideas and we’ll do our best to give you an estimate. For larger pieces (ex. sleeve or back piece) the price cannot be accurately estimated but will go on an hourly rate until finished.
> How do I care for a new tattoo?
We tell our clients to wash the tattoo in approximately 1hour to get rid of any dried blood. Then they should just leave it alone for about 3 days, don’t put anything on it, just keep it clean. After the three days they can begin to apply a water-based lotion, like Lubriderm, 1 or 2 times a day. Don’t soak the tattoo–getting it wet in the shower is OK– just don’t hang out in the water. For those whose job is dirty, it is a good idea to keep it covered and as clean as possible. Remove bandage as soon as it is possible. Use common sense!
